First Friend Dog Training
Meet the Trainer

I am a certified veterinary technician and worked in a local animal hospital for 8 years.  While working as a tech, I attended numerous seminars pertaining to health, nutrition, development, and the behavior of dogs.   I always enjoyed the behavior aspect of dogs, and consulted with clients on puppy development and behavior problems whenever possible.

I then attended National K-9 School for Dog Trainers where I earned my certificate as "Master Trainer".  While attending NK9, I studied puppy development, behavior modification, obedience training, tracking, soft-mouth retrieval, kennel management, scent discrimination and handicapped assistance.

I later continued my education by attending the No Limitations School, Mid-west Branch .  Upon completion of this course, I was recognized as a Certified Remote Collar Specialist.  This method of training allows my clients to accomplish things they never thought were possible.

I am a proud member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (www.dogpro.org) , the National K-9 Dog Trainers Association, and The Canine Political Action Corp.  I continue to learn about training methods, dogs, and their behaviors by attending seminars, lectures, and conferences multiple times a year.
